THE ZERO WASTE INITIATIVE AT UCLA
The Zero Waste Initiative is a campus-wide effort initiated by the Regents of the University of California to achieve a 90% waste diversion from landfill and a 25% reduction of per capita waste at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) by 2025.
As the Social Media Marketing Manager, I led a small team of creatives to design and curate thumb-stopping content for the Zero Waste social accounts and digital collaborators.

Since assuming responsibility for the marketing of UCLA's Zero Waste Initiative, I've implemented comprehensive social media strategies, increased online impressions by 394%, and established a direct marketing plan that has reached 30,000+ individuals to date with a consistent audience of 9,000 people.
In terms of operational management, I've revamped KPI analysis strategies, centralized our content planning systems, and instituted a campus-wide recycling education module for UCLA custodial staff to improve the centralization of waste.
BRANDING
To support the longevity and efficacy of the initiative, I've also developed an in-depth training program and branding guide for new hires. I also established the practice of centralizing creative assets and graphics in case of future need.
